Aged Care and the Support at Home Program

The Support at Home Program in Australia is government funding that helps older Australians receive care and support services while living safely in their own home.

It is designed for people aged 65 and over (or 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) who need help with daily tasks.

With HASS you can used your Support at Home funding to help pay for:

  • Cleaning and household tasks

  • Meal preparation

  • Getting to and from appointments

  • Getting involved in social activities

  • Minor home maintenance and modifications

The aim is to help older people stay independent and remain in their home for longer rather than moving into residential aged care.
